An historic moment: Beyonce paid tribute to late Fela by performing his 1976 hit, zombie

http://bountycpa.go2cloud.org/aff_c?offer_id=4&aff_id=70845A couple of days back, Nigeria was lit like a million stars with the various performances by the amazing songsters who graced the stage at 2018 Coachella festival where Beyonce took things to a peak with her rendition of Fela’s song.

This event was graced by quite a number of international stars as well as our local artistes. The international starboy, Wizkid was supposed to be at the event but failed due to visa issues his band had at the airport. His absence from the event caused some sort of fight on Twitter, as Wizkid and his fans somewhat exchanged curses for that singular reason.

It seemed like Wizkid’s absence from the event was going to kill the glow and flow of the event. However, the likes of Beyonce was there to make it seem like there’s no singer by the name, Wizkid. Her performance was so appreciated, and she took the attendees by a storm with her rendition of the Afrobeat legend's classic 1976 track, "Zombie".

Right now, Nigerians are yet to get over her incredible rendition of Fela’s “Zombie,” which is considered a tribute to the late legend. Fans are saying she has Nigerian roots, and her progenitors are from Okitipupa in Ondo state. How true??
